Global Brain Capital Dashboard
As the global economy transitions from being primarily growth-centric to prioritizing human well-being, brain capital becomes a vital measure of a population´s overall welfare. The Global Brain Capital Dashboard categorizes it into three complementary pillars: Brain Health, Brain Skills, and Brain Capital Drivers. Each pillar is further segmented into specific dimensions, which are assessed using clear, robust, and publicly available data. In this sense, a country’s aggregate Brain Capital level is boosted by positive indicators such as high levels of problem-solving skills or widespread access to digital infrastructure, for example. Conversely, it is hindered by negative indicators like a poor participation rate in organized learning or the prevalence of stunting in children under five years old.
A paper was published on the Brain Capital Dashboard via The Brookings Institution here and was recently noted in The Economist here.

“The world is increasingly relying on “brain capital”, where a premium is put on brain skills and brain healthᶦ (e.g. individual’s cognitive, emotional, and social brain resources).”
